Regular readers will no doubt recognise most members of this family. I had the pleasure of photographing the stunning Mummy and her two beautiful girls in a maternity 'bump' shoot, just a few weeks before their brand new baby arrived. The precious little newborn is also a girl. Daddy is now well and truly outnumbered. All three girls are SUPER gorgeous. Daddy is very, very proud (and will worry about having three girls in a few years time, when he can no longer get into a bathroom!). This teeny tiny one, was 10 days old when I took her photos just before Christmas. What an amazing Christmas present for the family! While we were waiting for her to have a feed, Daddy, the big sisters and I, ventured out into the garden. Cue lots of giggles, tickling and general merriment. Well, it was nearly Christmas, and there was a brand new baby to celebrate, so why not let loose and have some fun?! After some dancing in the garden, the girls decided they wanted to be lifted up in the air (potentially spurred on by me...sorry Daddy). No need for the gym that day! We then went inside and I was greeted with a very wide awake little one, so alert for only a few days old. Taking in all the world with those gorgeous eyes of hers. I realise when I am photographing families, the story of their life and our shoot is something that is important to me. Being able to tell their story, to capture their life, to detail all those important passing moments. That is what inspires me as a photographer. Life. The story. The moments. I may well have encouraged some slight silliness and a touch of naughtiness during the shoot. I am not convinced that Mum and Dad will be pleased if the girls recreate this trampolining game when the camera isn't there, but is was SO much fun! At the end of the shoot, I managed to capture this very special moment. The middle sister giving her littlest sister a tender little kiss. How perfect? Thanks for reading.
