Do you have any recent pictures of you with your loved one? If you're like me you probably don't. Since our wedding I have only used photographers to capture my girls; and even on family shoots I always ask for the focus to be the children, and NOT me (I'm more comfortable behind the camera!). I really cherish the few pictures I have of just me and my hubby and am starting to wish I had more, so this year I'm going to make sure there's more pictures of just the two of us. I have a feeling that my girls will come treasure pictures of me with their Daddy in the years to come. So, for Valentine's this year why not consider a shoot with you and your other half? What is a mini session?
Lasting 30 minutes, they are simply a shorter version of a bespoke full portrait shoot (which normally last around 2 hours). Due to the shorter shoot time, you will be presented with fewer photos (typically 10-15 images). This Valentine session deal is for a couple shoot. Please see other details (on mini sessions, or the full bespoke shoot) if you wish to have a full family shoot with children. When are the mini sessions? These Valentine sessions will be presented as a gift certificate, for you to organise a mutually convenient date with me. The vouchers must be used within 3 months. Where will they be held? They will be on location, usually in a local park. I will hold them in (or near) Teddington. How much does a mini session cost? The price for the spring mini session is £100. This includes:
The same number of digital images, prints, and session fee during a full photography session would cost you £211, and so saves you £111. You can see my full pricing details by clicking here. How can I book? Please complete your details on my contact page by clicking here (or alternatively please email me). I will then send you an invoice for £50 to reserve your time slot and date. Once you have paid the £50, your time slot will be reserved and confirmed for you. The remaining £50 will be invoiced, and must be paid within 5 days of the shoot. Other important points In the event that it rains on all of the days we suggest, or the very unlikely event that we cannot find a date we can all do, then your £50 will be reimbursed in full. If you have any questions, please just contact me and I will be happy to talk it through with you.

I had the absolute pleasure in capturing this gorgeous Mummy, with her two older children late last year. She was 37 weeks pregnant, and looked amazing. She has since had an adorable little baby girl (watch out for that blog coming soon). Now, can you believe this was on 30th November? Lets hope we get a similarly warm spring this year! Her older girls are aged seven and four, and are THE funniest, and giggliest girls. They even give my own girls a run for their money on the cheeky front too. We had some great fun on the shoot, and they LOVED the camera! It was such a beautiful afternoon, with stunning light. I am rather partial to a bit of 'lens flare', and to capture families at this magical time of day. We got the cheeky grins when we were talking about Mum's bump, and managed to get these shots, which pretty much sum up how they were. Giggly, cheeky and fun. To be honest, I felt there was also something very special about the shoot, and the afternoon. It wasn't just the magical light, or getting some great shots of the family; but about three girls together, before they welcome a new addition to the family. A special time for the girls to spend just with their Mummy, and to share giggles and memories. Just as the sun was starting to dip and set we fed the ducks. The girls were so delightful, and after all the running around and fun (and being a little cheeky, but that all adds to the fun, eh!), they were starting to get a bit tired. There is something just wonderful about the thoughtful, distant looks that they have when they're like this, don't you think? It makes me wonder what is going through their little minds? As the session was drawing to a close, it was just time for everyone to let each other know just how much they LOVE each other. Ahh, makes your heart melt a little, eh! Thanks for reading, I hope you like it, if you fancy booking a family photo shoot, please contact me here.

We started off in the (nice cosy and warm) home, and I watched and captured some wonderful family together time. It was so lovely to see the big sister clearly loving her little brother. Last year I completed a 'back and white' challenge that quite a few photographers completed. I must admit that prior to that, I mainly focused on colour images, as they were the ones I was instinctively drawn to. I LOVED doing it, and it really challenged me. Since doing it, I have really been embracing the timeless quality that black and white produces. We then headed out and braved the frosty morning. It was a lovely crisp wintery morning. I actually love this sort of weather, weak sun breaking through and trying it's hardest to warm up the world. We had a wonder into the woods, and stumbled across a den. Thinking about my earlier comment on black and white, I just love the images below in black and white, don't you? We then came across a tree swing, tied up high in a tree over a stream. A certain rather adventurous five year old couldn't resist. I am not a lover of heights, so just stood capturing the fun, and was thankful that my insurance was up to date. Not entirely sure it would have covered this though! We then had a last little play in the woods, jumping and balancing on logs to keep nice and warm. We then took a stroll back to their home, crossing frozen and frosty fields to get back. A wonderful family session in the winter sun. Perfect. Thanks for reading, I hope you like it, if you fancy booking a family photo shoot, please contact me here.
Now all the festivities are over and Christmas is packed away for another year, it is about time I caught up on blogging some wonderful family shoots I did late last year. In November, I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful few hours with a lovely family. We were so lucky with the weather this autumn. I only had to re-arrange one shoot. That must be a record! It is really special to capture families both in the home, and in the stunning outdoors. My preference is normally to get out and have FUN, FUN, FUN. However, sometimes freezing a moment in time in your own home really is something special. This family will always be able to look back and remember when they became a family of five. This little cutie is nearly 6 months old, and had such stunning expressive eyes, I literally could have spent the whole shoot focusing on them! The two older sisters are giggly four year old twins. Something I can totally relate to, as I have four year old twins myself! They really couldn't wait to get involved in the action. After having some giggles in the house, we headed out to a local park to run off some steam and have some serious FUN. Despite a huge search, I can let you all know that the Gruffalo was not in the park that day, although they thought they may have caught sight of the mouse ;) Right at the end of the shoot when everyone was relaxed (and possibly slightly giddy to be honest), I managed to capture THE best moments. Ones to really treasure. I know this family will smile every time they see this image. Huge giggles and love all round. If you are interested in having a family shoot, please do get in contact with me here, it would be lovely to hear from you.
