A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting a lovely family, with their 4 month old. You may well recognise the super cute little boy, from a few peaks I couldn't resist putting on my Facebook page. Today I delivered their multi-apeture frame to them, which they were thrilled with. It was so lovely to hand over a product that I am really happy with, and one that I know will be treasured for years to come and look fantastic on their wall.
They chose a simple white frame, and a grey mount, which just looks stunning. All the frames are hand made in the UK, and the attention to detail really shows.
Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot, and a photo (I took on my phone) of their lovely new frame.
I have something to admit. As well as loving photography, I LOVE stationary. Really love it. Totally love it. Like, I could (and have) spent hours upon hours in stationary shops (sorry to my husband).
Anyway, I am sure you are getting the picture. So, can you imagine my glee and giddiness when my new business cards arrived? The postman literally had me skipping down the street when he posted my new cards through my letterbox (sorry to my neighbours).
Can you also imagine how much joy I am getting from sourcing packaging and stationary suppliers? For me, flicking though stationary brochures is just lovely. Hours spent working on my business in a great way. The little things really do matter to me, and I want that to show. Anyway, here are my new cards, and a product getting packaged up ready for a client. I can't wait to give it to her. Hopefully it will have her skipping down the street too.
A few weeks ago, I had such a wonderful afternoon. Having cuddles and snuggles with this lovely newborn and family. Their little boy is very special indeed, and I was privileged to be able to go and take their photos. Those first few days are so super special, as the baby learns it’s way in the world. Tender moments, special times, and lots and lots of LOVE. What a wonderful job I have!
I have chosen the selection of my favourite photos, ones that show tenderness, love, and the little things. It is easy to forget what the delicate eyelashes looked like, or the tiny little blister that newborn's lips get from having their milk. I am SO lucky to document, capture and witness such an amazing time in this families life. These photos just make me smile, I hope they make you smile a little too.
The Pharrell Williams song gets stuck in my head about a zillions times a day, mainly because my children currently insist on it being played on a constant loop. Even so, I still like it, and it captures my current feelings on setting up my own business.
Photography is something I love. Something that makes me smile. Something that makes me happy.
Thanks for joining me on this adventure, I hope you like my art and my images, and that they make you smile a little too.
